The New Addition

This is the new addition to our family.....a female shih tzu/yorkie cross. I went with my mom to get her sister and fell in love with her(my puppy). You can see how small she is compared to our Sheltie, Dodger. The bottom pic is of my baby and my mom's. Mine is named Roxy Dave..yes it's a girl and my mom's is Jovi Bon Toby. Both names have long stories behind them. I currently have 1 husband, 2 kids, 2 cats, and 2 dogs. What is the matter with me????

Back Home

I am finally home for awhile...at least until July 28th when I leave for the lake again. I have been having a blast travelling around and having a great time with family and friends. Summer is too short.

Here is a pic of Bud with his hair cut. And no, that is not a real tattoo on my arm. That is a temporary Merritt memory.

Merritt with my niece Shannon during a Gretchen Wilson break. Don't ya love my sunglasses tan? Dang than glaring river!!! The whole thing was a blast. The music and company made the weekend. That and the fact that I lost my big toenail onmy left foot because it got stepped on by a steel toed boot. Don't worry, I will not post a pic of that.

The Family Baby

This is our sheltie, "Dodger" Boston Matty Shadow. We all added a name. I wanted to name him Boston since we got him right after the Boston Red Sox won the World Series in 1994. Bud was totally against that idea because he is a true Yankees fan. I never thought I was a dog person until we got Dodger. He has been having a blast a the lake.

I am home today doing laundry and getting packed for the Merritt Mountain Music Festival. I am heading back to the lake tomorrow and heading up to Merritt Thursday morning.

Before He Got His Hair Cut...

Bud got his hair cut finally. You know it's time when the kids are able to do this to him. We were just informed that we can't get into our cabin at the lake until tomorrow so we get to sit around in this dreadful heat.....maybe we'll hit the pool.
I watched "Notes on a Scandal" last night and absolutely loved it. Does anyone know if it won any awards for acting? Dame Judi Densch and Cate Blanchette (spelling???) were excellent.
I am already feeling like it's time to take a break from the kids. They need a break from me too. I thought we'd have the lake to go to today. Too much time spent with the same people for long periods of time can become frustrating for everyone. Small breaks are good for all......now where can I go alone???? Even Walmart is looking good.......

I Finally Know How To Do This

Thanks to Wandering Coyote for letting me know how to do this....gmail anyone? I was so frustrated that I couldn't even leave comments on other people's blogs. So much has happened since my last post. I was in a car accident, twisted my pelvis (from the car accident), bought a new Jeep, joined the gym, and bought a hair straightener...and yes, in that order. This is a picture of me taken in June @ a girls' weekend. It was fun. I met up with some good old friends that I hadn't seen in so long. Drama free fun!!!! I really should be packing right now. I have to go hang out at beautiful Christina Lake for a week then head to the Merritt Mountain Music Festival...YEEHAW! Glad I bought that cowboy hat in Kelowna!!! I declare this the SUMMER OF FUN!! I am turning 33 @ the end of July and that, I think, will be my new lucky number..Cheers!!
